Gary Caldwell
Gary Caldwell is in his twenty-seventh year as Director of Bands at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah. He conducts the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Ensemble II. He was appointed Maestro of the Southwest Symphony Orchestra in 1989. Mr. Caldwell’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Music Education from Brigham Young University and a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting from Northern Arizona University. |

Dr. Ron Garner
Professor of Music
Dr. Ron Garner has been teaching at Dixie State College for 50 years. He completed his Master's degree at the University of Utah. He earned his doctorate degree from the University of Oregon in1963. He formerly directed the DSC bands, orchestras and pit orchestras for the DSC music theatre productions. |

Dr. Nancy Allred
Professor of DSC Piano Studies
Dr. Allred teaches private piano, group piano, music appreciation, and a new piano pedagogy class at Dixie State College. She received her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in piano performance from Brigham Young University and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Allred is an active chamber musician, and is the accompanist and assistant director for the Southern Utah Heritage Choir. |
